When you’ve found the perfect mattress, you need a bed to match...and it would be hard to find beds of better quality than these. Crafted of solid North American Ash, a magnificent hardwood with a beautiful grain, these models are hand-sanded to a lustrous sheen in a five-step finish process. Stains available. All of our beds are solidly constructed, beautiful and durable, with metal on metal connectors for strength and easy assembly, and our hardwood slats are the strongest around (we don’t use pine because it’s too soft).

We know that you want a choice, so our bed frames are offered as either conventional (use a mattress and box spring) or platform bed (use mattress only).

THE OXFOR FRAME

The Oxford's contemporary styling is defined by sleek tapered angles on the arms and front rail. This frame has a distinct metro look Made of solid ash, with maple slats, like all of our frames, this frame features dual position seating and uses metal on metal connectors for ease of assembly and durability. Available in all sizes and finishes. The Oxford arm height is 25 ½".

This futon is made with an organic Cotton Canvas Cover, Inside the outer cotton cover is wool, and inside that is a center core of certified organic cotton.

This futon is rated Medium Firm. It can be used as a guest bed, a day bed, or a transition bed for a growing child who is too big for a crib and not ready for a twin bed. Warranted to give 10 years of comfortable rest, it is the only futon we sell. Made exclusively in Vermont for The East Coast Organic Mattress Store®Inc.

We recommend you protect your futon with a wool or cotton mattress protector made with organic fibers. Spot clean with vinegar and water if soiled. For heavier spots, have professionally cleaned. Turn and rotate the futon every 8 weeks.

This frame converts into a bed by night and a couch by day. Shipping is included for the futon and freight shipping is included for the frame.

This 8 inch thick futon is rated Medium Firm. It can be used as a guest bed, a day bed, or a transition bed for a growing child who is too big for a crib and not ready for a twin bed. Warranted to give 10 years of comfortable rest, it is the only futon we sell.

You can use our Oxford futon frame for this futon, or most other futon frames on the market. We put cotton batting at the core of our futons for a firm foundation and surround it with soft, pure wool or more cotton, which conforms to your body curves and allows your skin to breathe. We then cover it with cotton fabric, which unless you tell us not to, will generally have a sturdy metal zipper closure for manufacturing purposes (we install them in a manner that is not easily opened again).
